The Government of Assam has released the latest amendments to the Assam MBBS/BDS Admission Rules 2025, effective from 2025. These updated guidelines bring more clarity on eligibility, reservation policies, counseling procedures, and documentation required for medical admission under the state quota.

DME Assam Notice: The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, has formally made it clear that admissions for the 1st year MBBS & BDS courses in Government Medical & Dental Colleges have opened for the year 2025. Seats available under special quota this year—namely, Freedom Fighters, Martyrs of Assam Movement, victims of Extremist violence, Ex‑Service personnel, Defence personnel, and Sports quota—each have their own application period.
